What should I wear?
I always say go with something that makes you feel good. Confidence is the best thing you can wear. Yellows, whites, creams, plums, navy and greens are always a great look. It also depends on your location. Never hesitate to message me outfit options or questions you may have. I usually say the typical everyone wear a white shirt and jeans is way out of style. Neons are also a no go. Neon colours often create a glare on faces, so keep that in mind when choosing your photoshoot outfit.
Photo return
It usually takes 1-2 weeks post photoshoot. You will get an online gallery sent to your email which you will then be able to download to your computer or tablet. Please note that sometimes in my busy season photo return may be longer. I will let you know at our session if that is the case. You will get a variety of black and white and colour options. You will also not be required to pay extra for any images unless it is a specific session and you will know in advanced.
Prior to our session and payment
Before our session happens, we will discuss what type of session you’d like to book, pick a date, a location, and time. When booking you will send me a deposit, and the final payment can be made via etransfer or cash at the session or the day of the session. Please remember I am also a wedding photographer, so if you’re wanting weekend availability please contact 4-6 weeks prior to when you’re wanting your session, but sometimes I have last minute openings so, don’t hesitate to ask!
Arriving on time
Please make sure you are either early or on time for your session. If you are 10 minutes late, that is 10 minutes off your session time. Being on time is not only a great habit to set for yourself, but it also shows me that you respect my time as well.
Preparing children
I know sometimes when you’re investing a lot of money into photos, you want it to be perfect, but at the end of the day, kids are kids. I personally bribe my children because candy sure goes a long way. However, the candid, fun playful family sessions are my favourite and most of the time they’re yours too. When I prepare my children, I tell them how important it is for us to have these photos to look back on, to display in our home, and to share them with our friends and family. By telling them how importantly they are, my kids are usually pretty understanding. No, children aren’t perfect, which is why I try my very hardest to have fun and capture those memories. Sometimes children are shy and only want to cuddle mom, totally fine, I’ll get those moments too.
